Role : Power BI Developer
Location :Iselin, NJ(Hybrid)
Rate : $60/hr
Exp : 4 to 6 yrs only
Job Description :
Role:
- Technical Strategic Role.
- SPOC at customer site, leading technical delivery for BI transformation initiative - MSTR to PowerBI
- Collaborate and assist customer in defining strategy for report framework architecture and strategy.
- Analyze existingMicroStrategy Reports and suggest and implement migration plan to Power BI
- Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards, reports and dataset.
- Design and own end-to-endBI and analytics architecture using Power BI and SQL Server
- Define data models, semantic layers, and reporting frameworks aligned with business needs
- Establish standards, best practices, security models, and governance for BI solutions
- Change agent between offshore and onshore team
- Design and optimizeSQL Server databases for analytical workloads
- Write and tune complexT-SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions
- Perform performance tuning using indexing strategies and execution plan analysis
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, technical discussions, and solution walkthroughs for migration from exiting MicroStrategy reporting suite to Power BI
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Manage client expectations and handle change requests effectively
Skills Required:
Power BI (Hands-on)
- 5+ years of experience in Data, BI, and Analytics
- 4+ years of strong hands-on Power BI experience
- Develop and maintainPower BI dashboards, reports, and datasets
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- DAX (advanced measures and calculations)
- Power Query (M language), data transformations, and modeling
- Performance tuning, aggregations, and incremental refresh
- Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace management, and deployment pipelines
- Expert proficiency inSQL Server (T-SQL, optimization, performance tuning)
- Strong understanding and application ofData Warehousing concepts, including:
- Star and Snowflake schema
- Fact and Dimension modeling
- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
- ETL/ELT design principles
- Hands-on experience withGit, Bitbucket, or similar version control tools
- Experience onMicroStrategy to Power BI migration
- Knowledge and hands-on experience inMicroStrategy
- Proven experience inclient-facing roles with excellent communication and presentation skills
