The Guo Laboratory at The Ohio State University is seeking a motivated Post-Doctoral Researcher, eager to support research studying the molecular mechanism of tumor cells manipulating glucose, glutamine and lipid metabolism.

The successful candidate will leverage a combination of advanced molecular,in vitro, and systems methodologies to advance our understanding of the key molecular targets in cancer metabolism and translate it to the clinic. This position provides the opportunity of strong mentorship and a close, multidisciplinary collaborative research environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the state-of-the-art research using genetic mouse models for evaluating therapeutic efficacy, histology, and advanced imaging assays for glioblastoma research.
• Utilize murine and patient derived cell lines forin vitro modeling to examine tumor cell lipid metabolism.
• Prepare figures, manuscripts, abstracts, and grant submission materials for publication and/or presentation.
• Present research findings at lab meetings, institutional seminars, and conferences/symposiums.
• Mentor graduate students and/or junior trainees as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. inNeuroscience, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or in a comparable field or discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• ​​​​​​Prior research experience in: neuroscience, cell and molecular biology, cancer biology. 
• Experience in glioblastoma mouse models, signal transduction, metabolism, immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry, organoid culturing, and genetic mouse model generation/maintenance.
• Experience in mouse bioluminescence imaging is ideal.
• Track record of peer-reviewed publications
• Prior experience and comfort presenting research.
