Job Title: POS QA Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for an experiencedPOS QA Tester to test Point-of-Sale (POS) applications and ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of retail transaction systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional testing of POS applications, payment processing, retail workflows, and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Performfunctional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of POS applications.

• Test POS transactions including sales, returns, refunds, voids, discounts, coupons, gift cards, and payments.

• Validatecredit/debit card, cash, mobile payment, and other payment processing workflows.

• Test POS integration with payment gateways, inventory systems, ERP, CRM, and other backend applications.

• Create and execute detailedtest cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.

• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such asJIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-management systems.

• Perform regression testing for new releases, enhancements, and production fixes.

• Validate POS hardware and peripheral integrations such asbarcode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, and payment terminals.

• Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA feedback.

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and retail operations teams to resolve defects.

• Perform API and backend validation using tools such asPostman and SQL.

• Support UAT and production validation activities.

• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience insoftware QA/testing, preferably in retail or POS environments.

• Hands-on experience testingPoint-of-Sale (POS) applications.

• Strong understanding of retail business processes and POS transaction workflows.

• Experience withfunctional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience testingpayment processing and payment gateway integrations.

• Knowledge ofSQL for database validation.

• Experience withAPI testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Experience with defect-management and test-management tools such asJIRA, Azure DevOps, Client ALM, or similar.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with retail platforms such asOracle Retail, Client, Toshiba, Verifone, Ingenico, Shopify POS, or similar POS systems.

• Experience with POS hardware and peripheral devices.

• Knowledge ofPCI-DSS and payment security concepts.

• Experience with automation testing usingSelenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.

• Experience working inAgile/Scrum environments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
