As Port Adventures Manager you will provide leadership support to the Manager, Port Adventures & Recreation and Port Adventures team. You will lead all aspects of sales of Port Adventures (shore excursions) and desk operation. You will supervise the operation of all recreation spaces including pools, slides, sports deck, outdoor games, mini golf and sports simulators.

Responsibilities
- Understand and support all operational systems
- Coordinate all onboard logistics and sales of excursions for guests.
- Provide accurate counts for all excursions prior to arrival; communicate changes in needs, coordinate all excursion dispatches from ship to vendor promptly.
- Partner with other departments to ensure a smooth tour dispatch operation onboard.
- Liaise with the shoreside Port Adventures and Product Inventory Analyst teams to ensure all product content is accurate.
- Conduct audits and site inspections for Ports of Call, prepare reports highlighting areas for improvement.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with the crew, follow up on their progression and share areas for improvement.
- Communicate all guest feedback received onboard or post-cruise with vendors, address any areas of improvement and advance if needed.
- Maintain inventory of all supplies needed.
- Consolidate end-of-cruise reports and email them to the relevant departments.
- Be fully qualified as a licensed lifeguard and ensure adherence to all lifeguard requirements, regulations, and compliance standards; lead regular trainings, including in-service training, re-certification, and Private Island Destination training as required.
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years’ experience in recreation, tour operations, camp or activity center, catering to all ages, one year experience in a leadership position within sales, recreation or tour operations.
- Previous ship operations experience
- Experience working in tour or excursion sales and high volume Guest services resort environments.
- Pass required lifeguard certification.
- Pass a vision screening with at least 20/25 vision, corrected or uncorrected.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education concentrating on hospitality and/or business related preferred

This is a SHIPBOARD role.Applicants must:
- Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
- Be committed to the position you are applying for at least 2-3 contracts before a transfer or promotion
- Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency duties and/or associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
- Be willing and able to uphold the general safety management responsibilities specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
- Be willing to follow and embrace United States Public Health requirements and guidelines as well as Environmentality requirements and Company practices
- Be willing to share a cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multi-cultural environment
- Be comfortable living in a confined space with strict rules and regulations
- Adhere to a structured lifestyle, personally and professionally
Your Responsibilities:
- Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
- Complete a pre-employment medical
- Obtain a criminal background check
- Bring approved work shoes
