Position Summary
POD Health is seeking an experienced and highly organizedClinical Supervisor.This supervisory role is responsible for the direct supervision of the clinical support team, including Registered Nurses, while ensuring efficient clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and operational excellence of clinical process in our Tampa, FL office. The Clinical Support Supervisor will serve as a key partner to leadership in supporting clinical operations, performance improvement initiatives, staff development, project coordination, quality monitoring, and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Directly supervise and support the Registered Nurse (RN) team
- Support to other clinical staff including Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, Registered Dieticians, Social Workers, etc.
- Conduct employee onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
- Monitor staffing levels, productivity, and workload distribution.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and retention of clinical staff.
Clinical Operations Oversight
- Oversee daily operations of the telehealth platform and clinical operations center.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, workflows, and organizational standards.
- Assist with oversight and training of office-based clinical procedures and processes.
- Collaborate with providers and operational leaders to ensure high-quality patient care and service delivery.
- Identify operational barriers and implement solutions to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Support implementation of new technologies, programs, and initiatives.
Quality & Compliance
- Conduct routine chart audits and documentation reviews.
- Analyze audit findings and identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
- Assist in developing corrective action plans and monitor follow-through.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist in developing, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the creation and revision of policies and procedures (P&Ps).
- Evaluate workflows, tools, and systems to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Performance Management & Data Analytics
- Monitor and manage key clinical and operational performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality outcomes, patient engagement, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop action plans to address performance gaps and monitor progress.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or compact state license.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience managing clinical staff and healthcare operations.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and quality assurance practices.
- Experience conducting chart audits and developing corrective action plans.
- Familiarity with telehealth, remote patient monitoring, chronic care management
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
