Sr. Controls Engineer

This is an in person role at our San Antonio, TX based Headquarters.

Role Overview 

Asa Sr.ControlsEngineer, you willbe responsible for the design and development of robotic controls and electronics for ourInductOne and related systems. You will alsobe responsible for programming PLCs and configuring controls (drivers, sensors,etc.) to meet performance and quality requirements.You will drive technical architecture by collaborating with mechanical and software engineers.
 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

Technical Execution & Product Development 

• Support the implementation of best practices for electrical/controls change management. 

• Draft industrial electrical schematics,panel layouts, and corresponding BOMs. 

• Select and specify industrial components for electrical design. 

• Programand troubleshootPLCs (Allen Bradleyor similar) for machine control. 

• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of control systems
  formachine safety. 

• Deliver high-quality hardware releases withinscope and timeline. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Coordinate with software development teams to understand and implement hardware/software interfaces. 

• Provide technical support for requests from operations and field teams. 

• Provideaccurate time estimates for assigned individual tasks. 

• Proactively report task status, technical hurdles, and progress to the group lead. 

Qualifications 

• A minimum of5+ years of experience in controls,electrical engineering,robotics, automation, or hardware product development. 

• Bachelor’s inElectricalEngineering,orrelated field. 

• Foundational knowledge of robotic systems and industrial automation. 

• Experience with I/O networks andmachine control using PLCs. 

• Experience withStudio 5000,Copia,AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks,and/or similar tools. 

• Experience with engineering change management and/or product life cycle management tools. 

• Strong background in software/hardware integration and product development processes. 

Work Environment & Travel 

• This positionoperates in a professional office setting with occasional exposure to robotic systems and moving mechanical parts. 

• The noise level in the work environment and job sites may at times be loud. 

• Up to 20% travel in for the purposes of customer support, first article inspections, site acceptance testing, sales support, conference participation, etc. Although rare, some travel may be last minute.

Full time,40 hours/week between M-F, 9:00am-6:00pm

Salary Information

The range for this role starts at $113,000 per year. Starting salary is based on years of experience.
