Title: Senior Technical Analyst, PLM (Teamcenter)
Location: Remote
Target Start Date: ASAP
Type: Direct Hire (D)
Salary / Pay Rate: DOE
Why Work Here
This role sits at the center of a major Teamcenter modernization on a small, collaborative team. Instead of the large, segmented programs common in automotive and aerospace, this team works hand in hand from requirements to prototype to production, giving this person real influence over how the platform is designed and used across the business. The organization operates in a highly regulated, mission-driven industry, so the work carries genuine long-term impact. There is strong job stability here, along with meaningful investment in process improvement and professional development.
About the Role
This is a technical analyst position that bridges the business and the development team. The company has in-house functional staff who cover parts of the business process work, so this role leans more technical than a traditional functional analyst position. The person in this role will facilitate requirements discussions with the business and turn them into working prototypes in Teamcenter, using workflow, BMIDE and Active Workspace configuration. The program is built around continuously delivering prototypes that are handed to the developer to make production ready, so this person works closely with development rather than simply handing off specs. The team aims to stay close to out-of-the-box configuration, with any configuration changes running through the prototype process. This role is the main point of contact with the business, so strong communication and facilitation skills are important.
Responsibilities
Facilitate requirements discussions and workshops with business stakeholders across product lifecycle, engineering change, document management and bill-of-material processes.
Build hands-on Teamcenter prototypes, including workflows, BMIDE data model configuration and Active Workspace workspace and UI configuration.
Lead fit-gap analysis against out-of-the-box Teamcenter capabilities and recommend approaches that keep configuration close to standard.
Hand prototypes off to the developer with clear documentation and stay involved through production readiness.
Configure data model and business rules, including object types, revision rules, LOVs, forms, deep-copy rules and access rules.
Design and configure workflows and approval routes supporting engineering change management, document approval and product release.
Partner with in-house functional staff to align prototypes with business processes.
Author and maintain functional and configuration specifications, traceability matrices, test protocols and user procedures consistent with regulatory and quality standards.
Lead user acceptance testing, including test plans and scripts, coordinating business testers and triaging defects.
Support integration touchpoints with ERP, CAD, manufacturing and quality systems from a requirements and design perspective.
Provide advanced support for production incidents and service requests, including root-cause analysis.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years as a technical analyst, functional analyst or consultant on Teamcenter.
Recent hands-on configuration experience on Teamcenter 2024/2025 releases or later.
Strong hands-on experience with BMIDE, Workflow Designer and Active Workspace configuration.
Proven experience building prototypes and facilitating requirements discussions with business stakeholders.
Experience configuring engineering change, document control and bill-of-material processes, including engineering and manufacturing BOM structures.
Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences.
Bonus / Soft Skills
Exposure to Teamcenter X.
Experience in medical device, life sciences, aerospace, defense or other regulated manufacturing industries.
Experience leading UAT and validation cycles in a regulated environment.
Teamcenter certifications in data modeling, workflow or Active Workspace configuration.
Light scripting or development experience that helps in collaborating with developers.
Experience working on small or lean PLM teams rather than large, segmented programs.
