PLM Applications Support Engineer

This position is responsible for Engineering applications development to support deployments, installation, customization, configuration, and upgrades. This person should be able to perform installations, upgrades, maintenance, and integrations.

• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines in a Linux environment
• Experience with middleware such as MuleSoft
• Experience building new servers and cloning on VMware and AWS
• Experience with PLM tools is an added advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install Engineering applications in a Linux environment.
• Upgrade Engineering applications, including major releases and FixPacks.
• Automate database refreshes between multiple environments.
• Configure reverse proxies and load balancers.
• Analyze and improve application performance.
• Manage Filestore configuration and syncing.
• Maintain Engineering applications licensing.
• Develop software integrations between Engineering applications and downstream systems using Web Services, XML, and other related development tools.
• Java knowledge is an added advantage.
• Develop and document test procedures and assist with unit, integration, and regression testing activities.
• Execute testing that covers various use cases and scenarios within business unit processes.
• Work within cross-functional teams, contributing to overall project planning, recommending approaches, identifying resources, and developing timelines.
• Effectively communicate issues and alternative solutions. Take initiative to achieve value-added results and improve upon solutions offered.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems within Engineering systems.
• Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and ongoing day-to-day system maintenance.
• Provide end-user support, training, and mentoring.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a technology-related field.
• Working knowledge of AWS, VMware, and Linux required.
• 4+ years of related experience.
