Plater I

Looking for reliable candidates to p erform plating tasks from set-up, coating, and finishing per customer specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain plating solutions and equipment.
• Perform metal plating and finishing operations according to specifications.
• Read work orders and follow job instructions and supervisory direction.
• Clean, rinse, and process parts through required plating baths.
• Monitor plating solutions and processing times to ensure quality.
• Inspect finished parts for compliance with customer specifications.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Maintain production standards while ensuring quality and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.

• Ability to process various substrates with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic math and geometry skills to calculate part/rack surface area and required plating amperage.
• Ability to learn, retain, and consistently repeat processes.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing 1–50 lbs.
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors.

Working Conditions

• Work environment has a moderate noise level; hearing protection is not normally required.
• Proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection when needed, and steel-toe work boots.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
