Physician - Hospitalist

Position Summary / Career Interest:

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our growing team at the Olathe Campus. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care within a community hospital that is fully integrated with one of the nation's leading academic health systems. 

Hospitalists practice in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional clinical care whilebenefiting from the resources, specialtyexpertise, and innovation of The University of Kansas Health System. Patient care is provided through a shift-based schedule that includes day, swing, and limited night shifts, shared equitably among members of the group. A dedicated Nocturnist program is in place to support overnight coverage. The role also includes participation in call responsibilities consistent with the hospitalist practice. 

As part of an integrated academic health system, physicians have opportunities toparticipate in quality improvement initiatives, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the education of medical students and residents asappropriate. Scholarly activities, clinical research, and professional development are encouragedfor those with academic interests. 

Required Qualifications:   

• MD/DO or equivalent 

• Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine 

• Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
