In this Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) cancer rehabilitation role, you will focus on outpatient care, with occasional inpatient rehabilitation coverage. The position offers a four-day work week and strong support from rehabilitation therapists.

• Provide primarily outpatient cancer rehabilitation care, with occasional coverage of inpatient rehabilitation. 

• Support lymphedema management as part of cancer rehabilitation care

• Work locations may include Abbott Northwestern, Edina Centennial Lakes, and United Outpatient Clinic 

• Work four days per week; Friday coverage is required

• Collaborate with a rehabilitation team offering strong physical and occupational therapy support

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, part of Allina Health, is seeking a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join a well-established, collaborative, and mission-driven rehabilitation practice. This role offers the opportunity to care for patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings, provide hospital-based PM&R consultation services, and partner with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve meaningful functional recovery. The position is supported by experienced physician and APP colleagues, strong hospitalist coverage, and engaged leadership committed to creating a stable, sustainable, and collegial practice environment.

Job Description:

• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician 
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment 
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care 
• Refers for specialty care when determined 
• Consults with physician when patient's needs outside of advanced practice provider's scope 
• Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff 
• Acts as a resource to members of the team 
• Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated by the specialty

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner programOR
• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications

• New Graduates may be considered
• Minimum 2 years experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Licenses/Certifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - MN Board of Nursing required upon hireOR
• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
• Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
