Job Summary
A Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Therapist with therapeutic exercises, training or treatment plans to return the patient to a normal pattern of movement and functioning as possible. The primary functions are to perform patient related activities, including delegated procedures that are commensurate with his/her educational skill and training.Education: â–ª Required: Graduated from an accredited physical therapy assistant program OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND Grandfathered status under the Missouri State Board for the Healing Arts.Experience: â–ª No prior experience requiredSkills: â–ª Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required. â–ª Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required â–ª Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.Licensure/Certification/Registration: â–ª Required: License for Physical Therapy Assistant active in the state of Missouri
