HeadquarteredinBerryville, VA,ourGeotechnicalServicesteamcarriesworkintheMid-Atlanticregionfocusingontemporaryshoring,drilling,piling,augercastandotherservices.TheConstructionEngineerwill assist ourmanagementteamaswellasfieldsupervision.Therewillbesometraveltoourvaryinglocations forproject site visits, as well ahimein the GeotechnicalOffice. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to scheduling, testing, inspections, material purchasing and quantity reporting.

Thisisasafety sensitive position requiringworkonconstruction siteswithvarioussafetyhazardsinherent inheavyconstruction.

Thisposition issubjecttodrugtestingandcompliance policiesassociated withourstatusasaFederalContractor. 

Requirements:

•        Knowledgeableinthefollowingsoftware:WordandExcel,HeavyJob,HeavyBid,Viewpoint,OnBase,CAD

•        Maintain aValidDriver'sLicense

•        AbilitytocommunicateinEnglishbothwrittenandverbally

•       0 to three (0-3) years' experience in field engineering with a focus on structural or civil engineering, including testing, inspection, scheduling and quantity reporting, material purchasing, construction specifications, working knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, and coordinating subcontractors.

•       Prefer experience with structural or geotechnical engineering and field support.

Education:

•       Required:Bachelor's Degree in StructuralEngineeringispreferred. Withanemphasis onHeavy Structural, Civil Roadway, and Geotechnical Foundations.

EssentialFunctions:

•            Initiate and develop detailed work plans forspecific crews with Field Supervision to ensure work iscompleted safely and timely with a high degree of quality.

•             Responsibleforbuilding3-weekschedulesforcrewsandupdate ona weeklybasis.

•             ProvidetheProjectManagerwithaccurateCPMscheduleupdatestomeetprojectrequirements.

•            AssistProject Manager,coordinatethe work withOwner's Design Engineers, Inspection staff,Subcontractors,Vendors, Haulers, and Regulatory Agencies.

•            Confirmreceipt ofmaterials and services withinvoicing from vendors andsubcontractorsthroughOnBase invoicecoding.

•            Ordermaterials/ tools required asrelated to specific crews;Review, analyze andresolve field construction problems, plan discrepancies or plan errors and omissions.

•             AssistProjectManagerwithalladministrativerequirementswithinWagmaninternalprocesses.

•            AssisttheProject Manager review andapprove shop drawings, draft RFlsandmaintainsubmittallog.Providetechnical supportand interpretationto companysupervisorsand subcontractors through the ability toread and understand

•            UnderstandandassistwithProjectQualityControlPlan

•          Monitorall work forcompliance with theProject Site Specific Safety Plan andthe Wagman Environmental-Health and Safety Plan.

•          ProvideProjectManagerwithdailyquantitiesspecifictoContractItemstoensureaccuratepaymentfromtheOwner; Reconcile monthly Pay Estimate with the Project Manager.

•           AssistProject Manager to initiate utility locates.

•           AssistProject Manager organize andmaintaincontract documents andShopDrawings through a detailed Document Control policy.

•           AssistProjectManagerwithFinalQuantitiesandProjectcloseoutincludingallrequired"as-builtplans".

•           Perform QA/QC testing functions
