The Pharmacy Operations Development Lead plays a critical role in supporting the transformation and continuous improvement of the provision of innovative healthcare development and implementation of initiatives. This position exists to ensure the effective design, implementation, and communication of operational processes that enhance service delivery, compliance, and customer experience across Boots pharmacies.
What you’ll be doing
In this pivotal role within our Central Operations team, you will lead initiatives that enhance our pharmacy operations. Your expertise will help shape the future of pharmacy at Boots, ensuring we continue to provide exceptional service to our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage transformation projects within Pharmacy Operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.
- Develop and deliver simple, clear, concise operational guidance to pharmacy teams to ensure consistent and efficient implementation of new processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (internal and external) to design and refine pharmacy workflows and service models.
- Provide data-led insights to inform decision-making, track performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a key communication link for project updates, changes, and guidance across internal teams.
- Support stores and field teams in embedding new processes and resolving operational challenges.
- Ensure continuous review, evaluation and update of existing guidance for store to ensure relevance and accuracy
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- Proven experience in pharmacy operations or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to embrace change and drive progress.
It would be great if you also have
•   Experience in pharmacy operations or healthcare service delivery
•   Project management experience (desirable not essential)
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
