Our client, a well-established and recognized regional Personal Injury law firm, is in search of Personal Injury Lawyer to join their growing practice; supporting plaintiff personal injury files including both catastrophic and non catastrophic files related to MVA, Slip & Fall, Dog Bites, Assault etc. the ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and carry files from inception to settlement.
About the Role
- Handle client inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain client files to ensure deadlines are met and files are processed in a timely manner
- Preparation of pleadings and other legal documents (Statement of Claims, Notice of Motions, Mediation and Pre-trial memos)
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare for and attend examinations for discovery, case conferences, mediations, pre-trials, motions, and other court appearance
- Reviewing & summarizing medical documentation and other file documents;
- Settlement negotiations
- Trial experience an asset

What You Bring
- Minimum 3+ years plaintiff personal injury and insurance litigation experience
- Accident Benefits knowledge an asset
- Primafact experience preferred, but not required
- Superior drafting skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Strong computer skills (including MS Office suite), ability to work in a paperless office
