Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Performance Testing Engineer with strong expertise in performance engineering, workload modeling, scalability testing, and application performance monitoring. The candidate will be responsible for validating application performance, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring systems meet business and technical performance benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
• Analyze application performance and identify bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
• Develop performance test plans, scenarios, scripts, and workload models.
• Monitor system performance during test execution and provide improvement recommendations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and work with development teams to resolve performance issues.
• Prepare performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Validate system behavior under peak workloads and production-like conditions.
• Support capacity planning and performance tuning initiatives.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams throughout the SDLC.
• Implement and maintain performance testing frameworks and best practices.
Required Skills
• 7+ years of experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, NeoLoad, or BlazeMeter.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, KPIs, and best practices.
• Experience in scripting and correlation using performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of application architectures including Web, API, Microservices, and Cloud applications.
• Experience in analyzing CPU, Memory, Network, Disk, and Database performance metrics.
• Strong SQL skills for database performance analysis.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Monitoring & Performance Analysis Tools
Experience with one or more of the following:
• Dynatrace
• AppDynamics
• Splunk
• Grafana
• Prometheus
• ELK Stack
• Azure Monitor
• New Relic
Preferred Skills
• Experience in performance testing REST APIs and Microservices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js application architectures.
• Experience working in BFSI, Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise applications.
