Hato Hone St John has been serving New Zealanders since 1885. Today, we have nearly 12,000 kaimahi working across Aotearoa to enhance the health and wellbeing of our communities. From responding to 111 calls to supporting people to stay healthy through health education, access and monitoring, we make a life-changing difference every day..
He aha te tūranga - About the role:
Supporting a workforce of almost 12,000 volunteers and employees, the People Experience (PX) Support Services team plays a critical role in delivering a positive employee experience. Responsible for the delivery of employment documentation across the employee lifecycle, the team combines accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service to ensure our people receive timely, professional support at every stage of their employment journey.
As PX Support Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of this service, coordinating and supporting a team of administrators responsible for a high volume of employee life-cycle transactions including onboarding, internal movements, contract variations and offboarding. You'll ensure documentation is produced accurately and on time, while maintaining a strong focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
You'll oversee day-to-day operations within the PX Support Services team, balancing workloads, guiding priorities, and supporting the development of a high-performing and customer-focused team. You'll also take ownership of our onboarding software and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring they're set up to deliver accurate, efficient, and positive experiences for users.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on systems work, coaching and mentoring, and continuous improvement using data and stakeholder feedback.
This role is a full-time permanent position based from our Ellerslie office in Auckland.
Ko wai koe - About you:
You’re an experienced HR administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. With a solid understanding of HR processes, employment legislation, collective agreements, and HR best practice, you’re confident managing sensitive information and navigating complex systems with care and accuracy.
You bring experience administering HR information systems, including managing system access, maintaining data integrity, troubleshooting user queries, and supporting system processes. Experience with onboarding or employee lifecycle systems would be highly regarded.
Your strong relationship-building skills, high level of professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality make you a trusted point of contact for stakeholders. You're comfortable juggling competing priorities, have a keen eye for detail, and your Microsoft Office skills are top-notch. Experience working within a unionised environment would be an advantage, as would a relevant HR qualification (or progress towards one).
