Job Description

We are seeking a Hospital Communications Operator to handle high-volume calls, assist hospital staff and medical providers, and support daily hospital communications.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct 75+ calls per day.

• Handle incoming calls, messages, and hospital paging requests.

• Coordinate after-hours calls to medical providers.

• Assist with emergency communications and hospital page codes.

• Respond to general inquiries and route calls to appropriate departments.

• Communicate with medical staff using phone, email, and messaging systems.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Comfortable handling high-volume calls.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic computer and telephone system skills.

• Call center or healthcare experience is a plus.

Schedule – Must Be Flexible

• Must be available Sunday–Saturday, including weekends and holidays.

• Rotating shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM.

• Common shifts: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:30 PM.

• Two weekdays off when scheduled on weekends.

• No guaranteed fixed shifts or days off.

Additional Details

• Training: First week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, at 2011 N. Soto St., Los Angeles.

• Work Location: Keck Hospital (1500 San Pablo St.) or Norris (1441 Eastlake Ave.), Los Angeles.

• Parking: Pass provided.

• Dress Code: Business casual.
