4 Corner Resources is seeking a Prevailing Wage Compliance Specialist to own certified payroll for 300+ active federally funded and state construction projects. You’ll prepare and submit weekly Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs), interpret Davis-Bacon wage determinations, and keep every project audit-ready.
This is a great role for someone who knows prevailing wage from the wage determination to the Statement of Compliance and can run the full process.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly CPRs (WH-347 or agency equivalent) across multiple states under federal, state, and local prevailing wage requirements
- Interpret wage determinations from project specs to set the correct rates by county, construction type, and classification
- Classify workers by the work they perform and verify pay against wage determinations, fringe benefits, union requirements, and locality wage tables
- Review CPR documentation, including Statements of Compliance, wage and hour records, deduction records, and fringe benefit records
- Audit payroll calculations, including project gross, weekly gross, approved deductions, fringe benefits, and net pay
- Research and resolve discrepancies, missing payrolls, interview findings, proof of payment requests, underpayments, and restitution
- Track down wage determinations, classifications, and project requirements on your own when internal information is incomplete or inaccurate
- Build and improve certified payroll processes, not just follow existing ones
- Manage reporting deadlines across 300+ active projects
- Submit through LCPtracker, AASHTOWare, SkillSmart, DocExpress, eMars, Elations, and other state platforms
- Help shape the transition to Dayforce for payroll processing and reporting
What you bring
- 2+ years preparing and submitting CPRs on Davis-Bacon or state prevailing wage construction projects
- Strong knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act, related acts, and state prevailing wage laws
- Ability to interpret wage determinations, job classifications, fringe benefit requirements, and project specifications
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Experience with at least one electronic CPR system
- Advanced Excel skills
- High school diploma or GED
Nice to have
- Union and non-union payroll experience
- Experience on federally funded highway, transportation, or public works projects
- Exposure to multiple CPR platforms
- Background with a construction contractor or payroll compliance firm
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
