Payroll Specialist

Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for administrative tasks within the Payroll Department with little supervision. 

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Payroll Specialist is expected to perform position-related duties that include, but are not limited to:

• Data verification and processing of bi-weekly payroll intheDayforce payroll system

• Data entry of personnel updates in theDayforce payroll system

• Track payroll adjustments

• Pre and Post payroll audits

• Scanning and filing of allpayroll related documents

• Assist with various mailings related to taxes, garnishments,and unclaimed property

• Distribute confidential reports to locations as needed

• Maintain logs as needed

• Assist with check mailing

• Will becross trained to back up other payroll functions

• Assists with otherpayroll tasks as requested

• Prepare orreview Quarterly and Annual payroll tax returns as needed

• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Associates degree in business or accounting or equivalent experience preferred
• 3+ years of payroll experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Self-Starter with attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Exemplary show of customer service skills
• Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy and meet deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced multi-task environment
• Experience with Dayfrce a plus
• Must maintain an appropriate standard of confidentiality
• Must have good communication skills
