Opportunity Overview
We have an immediate opening for aPayroll and Tax Administrator to join our team at Rockville, Maryland. This is hybrid position working one day in our Rockville office every 2 weeks.Â
- Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time; weekend and holiday rotationsÂ
- Compensation:$60,000 to $75,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

In this role, thePayroll and Tax Administrator will:
- Process the records for hours worked by employees in accordance with policy and procedures
- Ensure hours are reported accurately and follows up on any discrepancies
- Support payroll processing to include building imports, heavy auditing, making updates in the HRIS system and payroll reconciliation
- Work closely with the Benefits team to ensure proper administration of all benefits
- Complete HRIS configuration related to new earnings, new deductions, new locations, new departments, etc. with appropriate GL mapping for accounting purposes
- Assist with all new payroll tax setups and registrations for all EINs under US Fertility
- Provide support for quarter and year end processing
- Support various audits from a payroll perspective including workers compensation and 401(k)
- Leverage BI reporting skills to fulfill ad hoc report requests as well as ongoing departmental needs as required
- Recommend ongoing payroll training opportunities to support our team members and managers
- Continuously review and update payroll procedures and SOP’s
What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:
- A degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school OR two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 to 2 years experience of UKG HRIS experience
- 3 plus years of previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role processing multi-state full-cycle payrolls
- Proficient knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations
- Understanding of fundamental accounting and human resources concepts
- Extensive knowledge of computer software (MS Office, Windows) and basic computer skills; previous experience with HRIS and Payroll systems a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building
- Strong customer service and results orientation; highly responsive to requests
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Flexibility and willingness to learn at all times
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities
