Job Description:

  • Producer and distributor of premium specialty alloys, including titanium alloys, nickel and cobalt based superalloys, stainless steels, alloy steels and tool steels.
  • High-performance materials and advanced process solutions are an integral part of critical applications used within the aerospace, transportation, medical and energy markets, among other markets.
  • Building on its history of innovation, Client's wrought and powder technology capabilities support a range of next-generation products and manufacturing techniques, including novel magnetic materials and additive manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
  • Works independently with guidance on complex tasks, performs a variety of complex functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification and reconciliation for multiple payrolls, and reconciling payroll accrued account.
  • Manage expatriate program to include review and approval of balance sheets and maintain tax compliance.
  • Act as functional lead on the payroll integration of Corporate Development.
  • Manage the payroll development and implementation of HCM system upgrade and tax updates.
  • Analyze payroll processing problems and recommends best practices to implement new solutions.
  • Makes recommendations to the Payroll Manager for development or enhancement of payroll procedures and documentation.
  • Responds to internal and external customer non-standard requests.
  • Leads payroll staff members and may perform duties of Payroll Manager in his/her absence.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Eight or more years experience in a payroll position.
  • Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge: (Ranges from task-focused to integrating related functions, to broadly strategic integration)
  • Advanced understanding of payroll administration, recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Basic accounting principles as related to payroll processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications related to payroll systems and time and attendance systems.
  • Integrity and honesty.
  • High level of critical analysis skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Good business judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to create and manage complex queries and spreadsheets and provide high level analysis of data.
  • Initiative.
  • Ability to successfully coordinate internal and external resources.
  • Ability to lead Payroll staff and direct work to team as required by Payroll Manager.
Education:
  • Four year college degree required and certified payroll professional (CPP).
