Patron, Boy's Dormitory - VTI (1 Position)

KEY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct general administration of the boy’s dormitory

• Coordinate with the school nurse to provide medical attention to boarding students

• Create a safe and conducive environment for the boarding students

• Manage the dormitory infrastructure

• Imparts knowledge to students and staff

• Oversee students dorm leadership

• Participate in guidance and counseling of students

• Provide pastoral care to boarding students

• Maintain a clean dormitory and surroundings

• Carry out data collection/ documentation as required

• Prepare reports as required
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• O Level certificate

• Certificate in Social Development, Social Work and Social Administration, Psychology or Nursing

• Experience working with vulnerable youth

• Agree with Christian mission, values, and objectives of Ignite Change

• Passionate about helping vulnerable groups of people

• Fluent in speaking Luo

• Must be effective in written and verbal communication in English

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, with minimal or no prompting

• Flexible to adapt to the ever-changing environment of a growing organization

• Self-motivated and innovative

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years experience as a dorm leader or similar role.
