Position Type:
- Contract Length: 17 weeks
- On-Site
- Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00)
- REQUIRED:Â 1 year of experience in medical office or related healthcare experience
- SCHEDULE:Â Monday - Friday, 0830-1700 (no weekends, no holidays, no call)
- Patient Services Specialist is responsible for patient registration, appointment scheduling for routine and basic healthcare services, insurance and demographics verification, and general clerical duties. As a fully engaged member of the care team, the Patient Services Specialist demonstrates a commitment to compassionate service, effective communication, and operational excellence in support of Providence patients and their families.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary tasks consist of answering ALL incoming calls to Call Center.
- Messages are to be sent via Microsoft Teams in the appropriate group chat
- Secure chats are to be sent to the Intake Team for New Patient scheduling with the appropriate patient needing to be scheduled
- Calls are to be properly warm transferred to care team.
- Create telephone encounters using callintake template and route to proper care team pool via Epic.
- Provide general information (address, appointment confirmation, fax number) to caller if information is within scope of care.
- Assist with helping PCCs with additional task when call volume is low or otherwise requested by supervisor and/or lead
