Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive patient safety and improvement program.
- Promote a culture of patient safety throughout the organization and support proactive identification of potential risks.
- Lead initiatives focused on reducing medical errors, adverse events, and other factors contributing to unintended patient outcomes.
- Analyze, trend, and report patient safety, quality, and risk management data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate root cause analyses, investigations, and corrective action plans related to patient safety events.
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to identify process gaps and implement sustainable performance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor patient safety metrics and develop strategies to improve outcomes and reduce preventable harm.
- Provide leadership and guidance to managers, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams regarding patient safety and quality improvement.
- Support initiatives focused on improving patient experience, throughput, and employee retention.
- Ensure patient safety practices and processes align with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
- Develop and communicate reports, trends, recommendations, and action plans to senior leadership.
- Encourage accountability and continuous improvement across departments.
- Oversee and coordinate patient safety activities across the facility while maintaining a high degree of responsibility, accountability, and autonomy.

- Current Florida RN license or recognized Compact Licensure, subject to Florida state licensing requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of clinical Quality, Performance Improvement, and/or Risk Management experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Experience across all modalities
- Fingerprint required
- CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
