Prism Healtha program apart ofCascade AIDS ProjectĀ is excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-orientedPatient Access Services Specialist.The Patient Access Services Specialist at Prism Health is often the first face that patients see when they arrive. As such, the Patient Access Services Specialist is charged with being a āfaceā of Prism Health and representing the health center in a positive and affirming manner, providing high quality customer service both in person and over the phone. Under the direction of the Front Office Supervisor the Patient Access Services Specialist performs a variety of tasks at Prism Health.Ā

This is aFull-Timerole working at our Belmont location inSE Portland.Ā Must be flexible to work at out Prism Morris location in N Portland as necessary.Ā The schedule for this role is Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, 9:00am-5:30pm
Starting pay is$23.17 an hour which is equivalent to just over$48,201.19 a year. ThePatient Access Services Specialist Pay increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale is $27.16 an hour. This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.

Who You Are
- Six months of work experience in a medical office setting, including high volume direct patient contactĀ OR
- One year of work experience in a high volume direct public contact position.
- Experience with EPIC or a similar EHRĀ Ā
- Basic computer keyboarding skills including typing of 30 - 45 WPM
- Customer service skills, both over the phone and face to face
- Detail oriented, highly accurate, and able to multi-task
- ProblemĀ solving skills to difficult customer service situationsĀ
- Patient advocacy skills
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā What Youāll Do
- Providing excellent patient service via phone and in person.
- Scheduling appointments for patients registering patients and verifying insurance information.
- Taking patient messages, and routing them appropriately, as well as being the first point-of-contact for patients and guests when they arrive at Prism Health.
- Work collaboratively with all staff in support of high-quality patient services, exhibiting flexibility and a warm, compassionate attitude.
- be mindful of verbiage, names, and pronouns used when communicating with patients and guests.
