Lum’s Chevrolet GMC is looking for an experienced, results-driven Parts Manager who knows what it takes to run a successful dealership parts department. We’re seeking an established professional with a strong understanding of parts operations, inventory management, department profitability, and team leadership.

This is an opportunity for a capable leader who can take ownership of department performance, maintain efficient operations, develop employees, and build strong working relationships across the dealership. What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Department leadership: Lead, coach, and hold the parts team accountable for performance, productivity, and customer service.
• Financial performance: Manage department sales, gross profit, expenses, and key performance indicators to achieve established goals.
• Inventory management: Oversee purchasing, stocking, inventory levels, returns, obsolescence, and inventory accuracy.
• Daily operations: Ensure the department operates efficiently and provides timely, accurate parts support to technicians, service advisors, wholesale accounts, and retail customers.
• Parts sales growth: Identify opportunities to increase wholesale and retail sales while maintaining appropriate margins.
• Team development: Set clear expectations, address performance issues, and develop employees to strengthen the department.
• Customer relationships: Resolve parts-related concerns professionally and ensure a consistently positive customer experience.
• Operational standards: Maintain organized processes, accurate records, and compliance with applicable manufacturer requirements and dealership procedures.
• Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, control costs, and strengthen overall department performance.

Schedule and Compensation

• Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, day shift. Some weekend work is required to cover employee absences and support dealership activities, including inventory.
• Compensation: Base pay plus commission, providing an opportunity to earn additional compensation based on the applicable pay plan.

What You Bring to the Team

• Proven experience managing an automotive dealership parts department.
• Demonstrated success managing inventory, purchasing, pricing, and department profitability.
• Strong understanding of parts department financials, gross profit, expenses, and performance metrics.
• Experience leading, coaching, and holding employees accountable.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and parts inventory tools.
• A customer-focused mindset and the ability to build strong relationships with service, sales, technicians, vendors, and customers.
• A proactive, hands-on leadership style and the ability to take ownership of results.

General Motors dealership parts experience is strongly preferred.
