Part-time Locum - Junior Primary Sports / PE Teacher

TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SCHOOL AS A PART-TIME LOCUM - JUNIOR PRIMARY SPORTS / P.E. TEACHER YOU WOULD:

• Have a Bachelor of Education / Sports Management qualification, and a PGCE with a min. of 2 years of experience teaching Grades RR - 2 Physical Education.
• Have the ability to coach sport (advantageous).
• Be highly effective and efficient, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be digitally proficient, with a min. intermediate level of MS Office, Excel and Word.
• Have experience in coaching any sports code offered by the school (advantageous).
• Have strong administrative skills, with an excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Be engaging, honest, genuine, and kind.
• Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
• Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.
• Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
• Be SACE registered.

OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT YOU WOULD:

• Teach / Coach Grades RR - 2 PE in the Junior School.
• Manage communications to parents and staff regarding sports activities and events for Grade RR - 2.
• Manage the process of indemnity, letters, budgets and permissions for sporting events.
• Put fixture timetables together and communicate based on weekly planners.
• Assist with Junior Primary Sports event administration.
• Mediate with parents in the event of queries/challenges.

This is a part-time Sports Locum position for 5 months replacing a team member who is on maternity leave.
