Painter/Blaster - Weekend Shift

This is a full-time weekend position working 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday.

What You’ll Do

• Sandblast, prep, seal, prime, and spray paint trailers and trailer components to meet quality standards.

• Apply filler and sand surfaces as required to prepare trailers for painting.

• Move trailer frames into the paint booth using forklifts and/or dollies.

• Inspect and maintain blasting, painting, and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

• Follow Southland’s safety policies and safe work practices, and complete daily 5S requirements to maintain a clean, organized workspace.

• Work collaboratively with team members and coaches, confirm work completion with your Assistant or Head Coach, and participate in Hansei meetings.

• Help identify and resolve problems, contribute to continuous improvement, and perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1–5 years of experience in industrial painting, sandblasting, or a similar role.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including handling materials weighing up to 44 lbs, prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and squatting, with appropriate assistance or equipment as required.

• A positive attitude, openness to feedback, and the ability to communicate respectfully and work effectively with a team.
