Occupational Therapist (OT)
Pay: From $68/hour
Location: Alhambra, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Part-Time Available
We are seeking a dedicatedStaff Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents, collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. You will also play an essential role instaff training, restorative care support, and patient-centered rehabilitation planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents to determineoccupational therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
- Develop, implement, and updateindividualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence with ADLs
- SuperviseCertified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), aides, and students in compliance with state practice guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to supportcare planning and discharge goals
- Participate incare conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehab team discussions
- Providein-service training and education for facility staff on an ongoing basis
- Complete timely and compliant documentation in systems such asNet Health and PointClickCare
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by followinginfection control and safety protocols
- Educate residents and families onhome exercise programs, safety strategies, and fall prevention
- Recommend and coordinatedurable medical equipment (DME) to promote independence (adaptive devices, splints, grab bars, etc.)
- Supportquality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure department equipment is safe and functional
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required (Master’s or Doctorate preferred)
- Experience inskilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care settings preferred
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR systems such as Net Health, PointClickCare)
Licensure & Certifications
- CurrentOccupational Therapist license (OT) in the state
- License must be in good standing
- CPR certification (if required by state or facility)
- Meets allcontinuing education requirements

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve clinical problems and manage patient care effectively
- Ability to read and interpret clinical policies and procedures

- SupervisesCOTAs, therapy aides, and students
