Package Specialist SAP HANA Basis

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada (remote in Canada)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience leading SAP Basis operations across SAP RISE and traditional on-premise landscapes, focusing on availability, performance, governance, and operational excellence.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA lifecycle management, including upgrades, migrations, maintenance, and production releases.
• Proven leadership of IT operations and change management, including production support, release management, root-cause analysis, and operational governance.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Integration/CPI, SAP Cloud Connector, IAS, and IPS, with experience supporting SAP integrations and cloud services.
• Experience designing/supporting high availability environments, disaster recovery strategies, DR testing, system resilience, and business continuity.
• Ability to lead offshore teams and coordinate effectively with SAP, AMS, infrastructure teams, vendors, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Prior work experience at client or in the client's Industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP RISE transformation/migration programs in large enterprise environments.
• Experience with SAP architecture reviews and security/compliance requirements.
• Experience managing distributed/offshore SAP Basis teams and vendor relationships.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis operations to ensure system performance and operational excellence.
• Manage lifecycle management activities including upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
• Facilitate IT operations and change management processes, ensuring seamless production support.
