Join Shepherd Center as a Psychologist with our SHARE Military Initiative in Atlanta, GA, supporting service members, veterans and first responders navigating traumatic brain injury (TBI), PTSD, and other co-occurring conditions. Primary responsibilities for this position include active interdisciplinary team participation, and providing rehabilitative services for veterans, concussion patients, and their families/caregivers, which may include individual, group, and family therapy/interventions, assessments, consultations, and education.
Shepherd Center is a private, not-for-profit, 152-bed expanding facility, specializing in the medical treatment, research, and rehabilitation for people with neurological injuries or illnesses. Qualifications:
- PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA-approved program in Clinical Psychology.
- APA-accredited internship completion.
- Successful completion of a 1 or 2-year postdoctoral fellowship/residency, or more than 5 years clinical work experience with similar military patient populations.
- Experience working in outpatient medical settings and with interdisciplinary treatment teams is preferred.
- Board certified or eligible for board certification in Rehabilitation, Health, or Clinical Psychology is preferred.
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
