Marketing & Engagement Coordinator

We're looking to add a Marketing & Engagement Coordinator to our team!This role will support the day-to-day execution of ODC Network’s marketing, communications, events, and membership efforts. This is a great role for someone who ishighly organized, enjoys bothcreative anddetail-oriented work, and is excited about connecting people more deeply toODC Network’s mission of advancing outdoor education and conservation in West Michigan.

This role helps keep ODC Network’s digital communications active and engaging through social media, email marketing, website updates, and event support. The Coordinator will also play an important role in managing and growing ODC Network’s membership programs, helping create a strong experience from initial sign-up through ongoing engagement and renewal.

General Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

• Support the day-to-day management of ODC Network’s social media channels, including scheduling, publishing, and monitoring content.
• Build, test, schedule, and send email communications, including newsletters, event promotions, and member communications.
• Make routine website updates and help keep digital content current and accurate.
• Support digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, and web.
• Help maintain content calendars and coordinate deadlines, assets, and approvals.
• Support content gathering, photography, video storytelling, and other marketing needs.
• Track basic digital performance and engagement metrics.

Membership & Engagement

• Support the development, launch, and ongoing management of ODC Network membership programs for individuals and businesses.
• Manage day-to-day membership operations, including enrollment, member records, communications, benefits, renewals, and fulfillment.
• Help create a welcoming and engaging experience for members throughout their relationship with ODC Network.
• Maintain accurate membership information within ODC Network’s database and support membership reporting.
• Coordinate member communications, recognition, benefits, and engagement opportunities.
• Help execute campaigns to attract new members, retain existing members, and deepen engagement with ODC Network.
• Work across the Marketing, Development, and Finance teams to ensure membership processes run smoothly and consistently.

Events

• Support the planning and execution of ODC Network events, including community, donor, member, and partner events.
• Assist with event communications, registration, attendee lists, signage, materials, and follow-up.
• Provide day-of event support including setup, guest check-in, and other event needs.
• Help ensure events provide a welcoming and engaging experience for ODC Network guests.
• Capture content and stories from events for use across ODC Network communications.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively across ODC Network to gather stories, information, photos, video, and other content.
• Maintain organized timelines and systems to keep marketing, membership, and event projects moving forward.
• Support additional Marketing & Development initiatives as needed.
• Serve as a positive representative of ODC Network and its mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, membership, events, customer engagement, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with social media, email marketing, websites, and databases or CRM systems preferred.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Collaborative, proactive, and willing to jump in where needed.
• Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends in support of events.
• Enthusiasm for ODC Network’s mission and connecting people to the outdoors.
