Administrative Nursing Supervisor

JOB LOCATION – Wilkes-Barre General Hospital

POSITION PURPOSE

• Provide supervision of nursing and hospital personnel and patient care activities on a particular shift with an emphasis on maintaining standards of care and patient safety.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing.
• BSN or willing to attain within five (5) years

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

• Three (3) years experience in acute care nursing required, management experience required.  
• Managerial skills, clinical expertise, teach/instruct, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care. 

Licenses/Certificates:

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS certification must be completed prior to end of orientation period
