We’re looking for aIntern, Software Developer – For EntrustsCitizen Remote Identity Verification team (CIDV) - Hybrid in Ottawa

We are seeking a motivatedSoftware Developer Intern to join our team for an 8-month term. This is an excellent opportunity for a4th-year Computer Science or Software Engineering student (or3rd-year with relevant experience) to gain hands-on experience in modern software development practices.

• Location:Role is hybrid based in Ottawa

• Duration:8 months starting on January 4, 2027

You will: Collaborate with a team of senior developers who work on Entrust Identity as a Service.

How you will make an impact: 

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain software applications.

• Work on projects leveraging.NET Core andC# for backend development.

• Contribute toAI development initiatives, including integrating AI-driven features into applications.

• UtilizeGitHub Copilot and other modern tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.

• 4th-year student preferred; 3rd-year students with relevant experience will be considered.

• Experience withReact,.NET Core andC#.

• Experience withAI development concepts and frameworks.

• Knowledge ofGitHub and version control best practices.

• Located in Ottawa and able to work hybrid.

• Proficient in verbal and written communication.

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure toGitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

• Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.

• Experience using tools to manage, build, and test code.

• Interest in learning additional languages and frameworks as needed.
