Oracle Test Lead
Role Overview:
Lead the quality engineering and testing function for Oracle Cloud applications across Human Capital Management (HCM), Financial Management, Procurement / Supplier Management, and Project Portfolio Management (PPM). The role owns test strategy, delivery governance, stakeholder coordination, and release quality for continuous improvement and quarterly release cycles.
• Provide functional and technical leadership as the Oracle Cloud quality engineering SME and guide the testing team across planning, execution, and closure activities.
• Define the end-to-end test strategy, scope, estimates, schedule, resource plan, entry and exit criteria, and quality metrics for Oracle Cloud releases.
• Lead functional, integration, regression, UAT, and production validation across Oracle Cloud HCM, Financials, Procurement, and PPM modules.
• Ensure end-to-end coverage for Oracle Time and Labour, Core HR, General Ledger, Advanced Collections, Expenses, Receivables, Tax, Payables, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
• Oversee testing of Sourcing, Purchasing, Supplier Portal, Project Costing, Project Billing, and Project Foundation processes.
• Review and approve test scenarios, test scripts, test data, automation coverage, traceability, and defect evidence based on release changes and impact assessments.
• Lead defect triage, risk assessment, escalation, retesting, release-readiness reviews, and quality sign-off recommendations.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, functional consultants, integration teams, developers, and automation engineers to resolve risks and improve coverage.
• Mentor testers, allocate work, monitor delivery against milestones, and drive consistent standards, reusable assets, and continuous improvement.
• Provide concise test status, defect trends, risks, dependencies, and release-quality reporting to program leadership.
Required Skills:
• Deep hands-on Oracle Cloud testing knowledge across HCM, Financial Management, Procurement / Supplier Management, and PPM.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, upstream and downstream integrations, data validation, and defect management.
• Experience creating test strategies, estimates, plans, traceability, quality dashboards, and release-readiness criteria.
• Ability to lead SIT, UAT, regression, quarterly release testing, and production validation in complex enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of test management and automation tools, with the ability to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, facilitation, risk management, communication, and team mentoring skills.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery models and collaborating across distributed teams.
