Job Title: Oracle Fusion HR/Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant
Location: Pune – Zensar Locations

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion HR/Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant to design, configure, develop, integrate, and support Oracle Fusion Payroll and HCM solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in payroll configuration, Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, HDL, OIC integrations, reporting, and payroll production support.
This role requires close collaboration with HR, Payroll, Finance, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant Oracle Fusion solutions. Similar roles typically require expertise across payroll configuration, payroll lifecycle flows, integrations, data migration, and technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Fusion Payroll
Configure and maintain Oracle Fusion Payroll modules, including Legislative Data Groups (LDG), payroll definitions, payroll relationships, elements, element eligibility, calculation cards, costing, and payment methods.
Lead end-to-end payroll processing activities, including RetroPay, QuickPay, pre-payments, costing, reconciliation, and payroll flow execution.
Configure and support payroll components such as earnings, deductions, balances, balance feeds, payroll calendars, consolidation groups, and GL integration.
Provide functional and technical troubleshooting for payroll-related issues, including root-cause analysis, correction, and production support.
Ensure payroll configurations and processes comply with applicable statutory, audit, and organizational requirements.
Technical Development
Develop, debug, and maintain complex Fast Formulas across payroll rules, element input validation, absence, proration, arrears, and custom business calculations.
Design, build, and maintain HCM Extracts for inbound and outbound data integrations.
Develop and execute data migration, bulk load, transformation, and validation activities using HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL), and Payroll Batch Loader (PBL).
Develop custom reports and dashboards using BI Publisher, SQL queries, and OTBI for payroll audits, reconciliations, and operational reporting.
Perform technical impact analysis for Oracle quarterly updates, regression testing, and remediation of affected integrations or customizations.jobs.smartrecruiters+1
Integrations
Design, develop, deploy, and support integrations between Oracle Fusion HCM/Payroll and internal or third-party applications.
Build integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST APIs, SOAP services, Oracle Business Events, and OCI services.
Integrate Oracle APEX applications with Oracle Fusion Cloud and external systems using REST APIs.
Develop and optimize Oracle APEX applications for performance, scalability, usability, and security.
Contribute to technical architecture roadmaps, integration standards, governance frameworks, and architecture reviews.
Required Skills
5+ years of relevant experience in Oracle Fusion HCM/Payroll implementation, support, or techno-functional delivery.
Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Payroll functionality and configuration.
Hands-on experience with HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, HCM Security Roles, HDL, and OIC integrations.
Strong understanding of payroll processing workflows, including RetroPay, QuickPay, pre-payments, costing, and reconciliation.
Experience with BI Publisher, OTBI, SQL, and payroll reporting.
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, Oracle Business Events, and third-party integrations.
Working knowledge of Oracle APEX application development and integration.
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical Oracle Fusion solutions.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with multi-country payroll implementations or statutory payroll compliance.
Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
Experience in Agile delivery, release management, UAT, parallel payroll runs, and post-go-live support.
Knowledge of technical governance, coding standards, security practices, and integration architecture.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant Oracle Fusion HCM/Payroll certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
