POSITION SUMMARY:We are seeking a skilled Oracle EPM Administrator to join our Finance / FP&A team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform - specifically Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud EPM - supporting the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. The Oracle EPM Administrator ensures system availability, data integrity, and optimal performance across planning cycles while enabling accurate, timely decision support for finance leadership.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical Oracle EPM skills with solid FP&A process knowledge. This position works closely with FP&A, Accounting, IT, and Operations to translate business requirements into reliable EPM solutions, maintain robust calculation and data-integration processes, and continuously improve planning models, reports, and dashboards that underpin the company’s financial planning cycles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:(The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
Oracle EPM System Administration
- Configure and maintain PBCS and FCCS and Narrative Reporting application settings, metadata, dimensions, and configuration.
- Maintain artifact-level security within PBCS and FCCS and Narrative Reporting (forms, task lists, planning units, report packages).
- Coordinate with IT on environment refresh/migration timing; validate application content and data integrity afterward. Infrastructure-level refresh execution is owned by IT.
- Monitor application-level performance (calc run times, form/report load times, batch job statuses); escalate infrastructure issues to IT.
- Maintains the Oracle EPM Chart of Accounts hierarchy, metadata, and account mappings across planning and reporting models to ensure consistency with Oracle ERP and support accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate upgrades, patches, and enhancements with IT and Oracle Support, validating changes before production deployment.
- Responsible for testing all EPM-related updates once released by the IT Oracle Administrator, validating functionality before sign-off.
Forecasting and Budgeting Support
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting cycles within Oracle EPM, ensuring templates and models are ready for each cycle.
- Maintain and enhance driver-based planning models, data entry forms, and planning templates used by FP&A and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team on planning assumptions, template design, and process timelines to improve forecast quality and cycle efficiency.
- Troubleshoot user issues during active planning cycles and provide timely resolution to keep submissions on schedule.
Version Control and Scenario Development
- Maintain version control across planning cycles, including budget, forecast, actuals, and what-if scenario versions.
- Build and manage scenario models (base case, upside, downside, and stress tests) to support executive decision-making.
- Document application changes, version histories, and environment configurations to support auditability and knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate version freezes, copies, and promotions in alignment with FP&A calendar milestones.
Rules, Calculations, and Modeling Logic
- Develop, maintain, and optimize calculation rules, business rules, Groovy scripts, and member formulas within Oracle EPM.
- Continuously improve modeling logic for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as business requirements evolve.
- Automate repetitive planning and reporting tasks to reduce manual effort and improve cycle time.
- Test and validate calculation changes in non-production environments prior to production release.
Actuals Loading and Data Validation
- Manage the loading of actuals from source systems (ERP, GL, and sub-ledgers) into Oracle EPM using Data Management / FDMEE / Data Integration.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data load errors, mapping issues, and reconciliation variances in a timely manner.
- Maintain data maps, import formats, and integration jobs; coordinate with Accounting and IT on source-system changes.
Reporting and Dashboards
- Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and data forms within Oracle EPM using Smart View, Financial Reporting Studio, and Narrative Reporting.
- Support ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from FP&A and business stakeholders.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting packages for finance leadership.
- Standardize report formats and distribution processes to improve consistency and reduce manual preparation effort.
Process Improvement and Documentation
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline EPM processes and enhance system capabilities.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and user guides for Oracle EPM processes and configurations.
- Provide training and end-user support; serve as the internal subject matter expert for Oracle EPM.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen data governance, controls, and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with FP&A, Accounting, IT, and Operations to understand business requirements and translate them into EPM solutions.
- Act as liaison between Finance and IT for Oracle EPM-related projects, issues, and enhancements.
- Support audit requests, compliance reviews, and financial close activities as needed.
- Communicate system changes, outages, and release impacts to affected stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Overtime may be required and in person, predictable attendance in The Woodlands, TX
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3-year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- Certification: Oracle EPM certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist – EPM) preferred but not required.
- Experience: 5-15 years of hands-on Oracle EPM administration experience (Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud EPM, Hyperion Planning, or equivalent); experience in a Finance or FP&A environment strongly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Proven hands-on experience administering Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud EPM (Planning, Consolidation, Narrative Reporting, or related modules).
- Proficiency in Oracle EPM calculation rules, Groovy scripting, member formulas, and business rules.
- Experience with Data Management / FDMEE / Data Integration for actuals loading and data mapping.
- Strong knowledge of EPM application architecture, dimension management, and security configuration.
- Proficiency in Oracle Smart View and Financial Reporting Studio.
- Solid understanding of FP&A processes: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial consolidation.
- Experience with version control practices and managing multiple EPM environments (Dev/Test/Prod).

Given these conditions, employees visiting a pad site are required to wear company-mandated and company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including Category 2 fire retardant coveralls or Category 2 shirt/jeans combination, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and designated safety gloves according to role. Employees must strictly adhere to all safety policies, including the Companies' Life Saving Rules and procedures at all times. Employees must be able to independently lift 25 lbs.
