About The Job:

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze SAP migration templates and source-to-target mapping requirements for Finance data.
• Identify the appropriate Oracle EBS R12 Finance tables, views, data relationships, and accounting structures required for extraction.
• Develop SQL/PLSQL extraction programs for Finance master, transactional, open, and historical data.
• Extract and transform data from Oracle EBS modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and related financial areas.
• Support extraction of financial data such as:
  • Chart of Accounts and accounting combinations
  • GL balances and journals
  • Supplier-related financial data
  • Open AP invoices and payments
  • Customer-related financial data
  • Open AR transactions and receipts
  • Fixed Assets and asset balances
  • Bank and cash-management information
  • Other required financial master and transactional data
• Apply agreed business and transformation rules to populate SAP migration templates.
• Perform technical reconciliation between Oracle EBS source balances/transactions and migration output.
• Work closely with Finance functional and business teams to validate extracted data.
• Investigate and resolve extraction, transformation, balancing, and reconciliation issues.
• Support mock conversions, data-validation cycles, cutover rehearsals, and final production migration.
• Support delta/final data extraction during cutover.
• Maintain technical specifications, extraction scripts, transformation logic, and reconciliation documentation.

Project Overview

• The client is transitioning from Oracle EBS R12 to SAP.
• The Oracle Finance Technical Consultant will support the migration by identifying, extracting, transforming, validating, and reconciling required financial data from Oracle EBS R12 and delivering it according to SAP-provided migration templates and requirements.
• Oracle EBS R12 to SAP Transition.

Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on Oracle EBS R12 Finance Technical experience.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS Finance data models, tables, and relationships across:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets (FA)
  • Cash Management (CE)
  • Subledger Accounting (SLA/XLA)
• Expert-level Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• Strong understanding of Oracle EBS Subledger Accounting (SLA/XLA) and relationships between subledger transactions and General Ledger.
• Experience extracting financial master data, open transactions, balances, journals, and historical data.
• Strong experience in data extraction, transformation, conversion, migration, and reconciliation.
• Ability to develop complex queries involving multiple Finance modules and accounting tables.
• Strong understanding of accounting structures including Ledger, Legal Entity, Operating Unit/Business Unit, Chart of Accounts, Balancing Segment, Accounting Periods, and Currency.
• Experience performing financial reconciliation and ensuring extracted data ties back to Oracle EBS source balances.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for identifying financial data discrepancies.
• Ability to work with Finance functional, business, SAP, and migration teams.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience supporting Oracle EBS to SAP Finance migration.
• Experience with large-scale ERP data conversion and financial reconciliation.
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS APIs, open interfaces, and data-conversion utilities.
• Experience with ERP transformation, carve-out, divestiture, or legacy-system retirement programs.

Key Requirement

• The candidate must be a strong Oracle EBS R12 Finance Technical Consultant with deep knowledge of the underlying Oracle Finance data model and strong SQL/PLSQL capabilities.
• The resource must be capable of extracting and transforming complex financial datasets while ensuring data completeness, accuracy, traceability, and reconciliation back to Oracle EBS before providing the data to the SAP migration team.
• SAP configuration expertise is not mandatory; strong Oracle EBS Finance technical and data-migration expertise is mandatory.
