Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)
Duration: 12 months contract
Pay Rate: $65/hr W2

Job Description:
We are seeking a senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support and manage enterprise database environments. This role focuses on Oracle DBA operations (not development), providing hands-on administration, performance tuning, automation, and high availability support while partnering closely with application teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and tune Oracle databases (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, Partitioning)

• Provide day-to-day DBA support, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and data integrity

• Monitor databases and systems (processes, logs, storage, locks, traces) and proactively resolve issues

• Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, replication, and failover (GoldenGate or HVR)

• Perform schema management, auditing configuration, and routine maintenance activities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, and Ansible

• Prepare and review operational, performance, and capacity reports; recommend system improvements

Required Skills:

• Strong Oracle DBA SME experience

• Linux (mandatory)

• Automation/Scripting: Shell, Python, Ansible

• Performance tuning and monitoring expertise

• Replication, HA/DR, and recovery experience

Nice to Have:

• Redis or other NoSQL databases
