Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experiencedOracle APEX Developer to design, develop and maintain low-code web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases, PL/SQL programming, and APEX application development, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development
- Design, build, and deploy scalable applications usingOracle APEX.
- Develop interactive reports, forms, dashboards, charts, and UI components.
- Integrate APEX applications with external APIs and third-party systems.
- Optimize application performance, security, and user experience.
- Write and optimize complexSQL andPL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Design and maintain relational database structures (tables, views, indexes, constraints).
- Perform data modeling, data migration, and ETL processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain documentation including technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
- Implement APEX security features (authentication, authorization, session state protection).
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ yearshands-on experience with Oracle APEX (version 19.x or higher preferred).
- Strong expertise inOracle SQL,PL/SQL, and database concepts.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery for UI customizations.
- Familiarity with RESTful Web Services (Oracle ORDS).
- Understanding of APEX security, roles, and access control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Oracle Cloud (OCI) or Autonomous Database.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps pipelines.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Exposure to BI tools or data visualization frameworks.
