Project Focus: Operations & Maintenance Support for Oracle Analytics Cloud
Job Description
Experience Level: 3–5 years
Role Summary:
The Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) Developer will support the Operations & Maintenance team by enhancing existing analytics content, developing new reports and dashboards, and resolving client‐reported issues. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of OAC solutions used by business stakeholders. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building analytics assets in OAC and is comfortable troubleshooting issues across data models, visualizations, and platform configurations. While not required, experience with OAC administration is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, enhance, and maintain reports, dashboards, analyses, and data visualizations within OAC.
• Handle incoming client tickets, including troubleshooting defects, data discrepancies, performance issues, and access-related problems.
• Implement enhancements and new analytics features based on business requirements.
• Support data model updates, including modifying subject areas, joins, hierarchies, and semantic layer objects.
• Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate with data engineering, infrastructure, and business teams as needed to resolve issues efficiently.
• Validate analytics content after platform updates, data model changes, or ETL modifications.
• Document enhancements, technical configurations, troubleshooting steps, and support procedures to ensure consistent operations.
• (Nice to have) Assist with light OAC administration tasks such as user/role reviews, environment monitoring, or configuration checks.
Required Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience developing analytics content using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).
• Strong understanding of OAC data modeling and semantic layer concepts (subject areas, joins, hierarchies, calculations).
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to analyze relational data structures to support troubleshooting.
• Experience resolving issues related to report logic, data quality, user access, and performance.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with OAC administrative concepts, such as user/role management or environment monitoring.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or related analytics/cloud services.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), ODI Cloud (ODI‐C), Informatica, Talend, or similar.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data pipelines.
• Experience supporting production analytics environments or Operations & Maintenance teams.
