Position Summary
Lead the design, establishment, and technical delivery of EIT Oracle AI and OCI solutions for the Oracle AI Innovation Lab and agency-specific initiatives. Translate mission and business requirements into secure, scalable Oracle AI/OCI architectures, Proofs-of-Value (PoVs), demonstrations, and production implementation roadmaps across commercial, U.S. Federal, SLED, and defense environments. The role provides technical leadership across the lifecycle from agency requirement and discovery through use-case qualification, architecture, PoV, security/governance validation, agency demonstration, implementation roadmap, and production opportunity. This one is a hands-on job.Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap, architecture standards, governance gates, delivery cadence, risks, dependencies, and technical reporting for Oracle AI/OCI Innovation Lab initiatives.
- Serve as the technical lead and bridge among EIT engineering, Oracle AI/OCI specialists, agency stakeholders, security teams, and capture/business-development teams.
- Design end-to-end OCI architectures spanning OCI Generative AI, Oracle AI Database and vector capabilities, RAG, agentic AI, APIs, data pipelines, observability, and enterprise integration.
- Define OCI landing-zone and environment topology standards covering networking, IAM, compartments, encryption, secrets management, logging, high availability, automation, and deployment controls.
- Map agency workload requirements, data sensitivity, security boundaries, and mission needs to appropriate commercial, Government Cloud, Defense Cloud, or private/isolated deployment patterns.
- Develop reusable solution blueprints for secure RAG, agentic workflows, document intelligence, predictive analytics, and cyber/mission analytics.
- Lead architecture workshops, design reviews, technical demonstrations, agency presentations, and architecture/security validation activities.
- Prioritize and guide PoVs using mission value, data readiness, technical feasibility, measurable KPIs, security requirements, and path-to-production criteria.
- Perform capacity and sizing assessments, performance design, architecture reviews, and cost/ROM inputs; partner with Oracle SMEs to validate product capabilities and deployment options.
- Convert successful PoCs/PoVs into pilot and production architectures, including security, integration, operations, implementation sequencing, architecture decisions, standards, and deployment runbooks.
- Establish reusable architecture, design, testing, demonstration, and documentation templates to accelerate delivery and reduce redesign.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
- 12+ years of enterprise technology experience with significant cloud, infrastructure, application, and data architecture responsibilities, including recent hands-on AI/GenAI solution delivery.
- Strong Oracle Cloud Infrastructure architecture experience, including networking, IAM, security, database, integration, observability, automation, and high-availability design.
- Working knowledge of OCI AI services and strong Oracle Database / AI Database capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience with LLM applications, RAG, vector search/databases, agentic workflows, APIs, enterprise data integration, and data architecture.
- Ability to produce detailed architecture diagrams, architecture decision records, implementation standards, production designs, and deployment runbooks.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and communicating effectively with executive, engineering, security, Oracle, and government-agency stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to transition PoCs/PoVs into secure, scalable pilot and production implementation plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. Federal civilian, SLED, DoD, or regulated-industry cloud/AI delivery experience, including Government Cloud or DoD cloud architecture.
- Understanding of FedRAMP, NIST controls, Zero Trust, DISA Impact Levels, government data classification, and secure cloud architecture requirements.
- OCI Architect Professional, OCI Generative AI Professional, Oracle Database, or comparable cloud/AI certifications.
- Oracle Database / Autonomous Database expertise and Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform.
Key Deliverables
- Oracle AI/OCI technical roadmap and lab reference architecture
- OCI landing-zone and secure deployment design
- Reusable AI solution blueprints and reference architecture catalog
- PoV portfolio, qualification criteria, and stage-gate architecture process
- Architecture decision records, implementation standards, and deployment runbooks
- Capacity, performance, sizing, and cost/ROM inputs
- Agency demonstration architectures and production implementation roadmaps
Performance Measures
- Time from qualified requirement to working PoV and environment readiness
- Architecture and security review acceptance rate
- PoV completion, reuse, and transition to pilot/production
- Performance, scalability, and production-readiness results
- Reuse of reference patterns and reduction in production redesign
- Agency, Oracle, and internal stakeholder satisfaction
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or arelated discipline. A master's degree is preferred for architecture/leadership roles.
Public Sector / Security Considerations
The role may support U.S. Federal, state/local, or DoD opportunities. Candidates should be able to work within customer security, data handling, citizenship, background investigation, and clearance requirements applicable to the specific engagement. Active security clearance is preferred, where relevant, but is not required for every Innovation.Desired Oracle Certifications
