The Account Coordinatorassists a team of Employee Benefits Account Managers with routine tasks while learning the Employee Benefits Insurance Industry. Functions may include data entry/processing, filing, reviewingcontracts, and peer reviewing customer materials. Additionally, the AC will be actively engaged in learning activities such as in-house training courses, mentoring, and industry certification in preparing to move into the Account Manager, Technical Analyst or Marketing Analyst position in the future. Â
How You Will Contribute: Â
Support a team of 5-6 Small and Large Group Account ManagersÂ
Perform routine clerical tasks including data entry and filing of data/materials related to customers’ employee benefits plansÂ
Work with insurance carriers to request materials for customers (e.g., Open Enrollment materials) and/or follow up onprevious requests made by AMsÂ
Support AMs with processing adds, terms or changes to employee enrollmentsÂ
Communicate with carriersregarding customer billing discrepancies or simple claims issuesÂ
Generate personalized forms for each customer (e.g., Annual Compliance Notices)Â
Review carrier contracts for accuracyÂ
Draft employee communications materials for peer review by AMÂ
Support the Benefits team by organizing carrier meetings, including calendaring and onsite support for those meetingsÂ
Read and respond to all emails within 1 business dayÂ
On occasion, pull files from BAM and email to Producers, at AM’s requestÂ
Skills & Experience tobe Successful:Â Â
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or be a high school graduate with a minimum of one (1) year of office environment experience; other combination of work and/or education will be consideredÂ
Willingness and desire to learn about Employee BenefitsÂ
Fluent with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and ExcelÂ
Ability to learn software program at an accelerated abilityÂ
Exceptional telephone demeanorÂ
Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skillsÂ
Maintaina high level of confidentialityÂ
