The Department of Theatre is seeking a student who is self-motivated, dependable, and familiar with the department’s production season to serve as House Manager.Job Description
Essential Duties
- Some independent judgment or initiative.
- May involve supervisory responsibilities for an activity of limited scope.
- May require a significant amount of physical exertion, adverse hour, or working conditions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A considerable knowledge of the work process as obtained through on-the-job training.
Additional Position Information (if applicable)
Essential Duties:
Coordinate and train ushers; manage front of house areas; enforce House rules; liaise with the box office staff; other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Appropriate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work effectively independently within a team environment.
- Reliability and a friendly demeanor with good attendance habits.
- Must be appropriately dressed to represent a professional work environment.
- Familiarity with the Department of Theatre and its production season.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Patron services/customer service experience.
- Experience coordinating volunteers.
