With expertise in space-based detection, tracking, identification, and monitoring, Digantara provides comprehensive domain awareness across regimes, allowing end users to have actionable intelligence on a single platform. At the core of its infrastructure lies a sophisticated integration of hardware and software capabilities aligned with the key principles of situational awareness: perception(data collection), comprehension(data processing), and prediction(analytics). This holistic approach empowers Digantara to monitor all Resident Space Objects(RSOs)in orbit, fostering comprehensive domain awareness.

Digantara is looking for a passionate engineer who can develop reliable and robust mechanical systems for satellite subsystems.

Why Us:

  • Competitive incentives, galvanizing workspace, blazing team, frequent outings—pretty much everything you have heard about a startup + you get to work on space technology.

  • Hustle in a well-funded startup allowing you to take charge of your responsibilities and create your moonshot.

Ideal Candidate:

A motivated fresher with a strong foundation in optics and an interest in optical system assembly, alignment, and testing. Academic projects or laboratory exposure to electro-optical systems or telescopes is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble optical lenses, mirrors, filters and mechanical fixtures & mounts as per optical drawings and work instructions.

  • Apply adhesives, spacers, shims, and alignment features following process specifications.

  • Integrate optical assemblies into opto-mechanical structures, barrels, or sensor modules.

  • Perform precision alignment using collimators and optical benches.

  • Perform torque-controlled fastener tightening to avoid stress on lenses and mirrors.

  • Conduct optical tests such as MTF, centration, focus accuracy, collimation, bore sighting, stray light checks.

  • Verify compliance with specifications including centration error, air gaps, wavefront error, and surface quality.

  • Follow strict contamination control procedures when handling coated optics.

  • Document test results, maintain build reports, and generate inspection records
