Operations Supervisor - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor for a contract position with a National Freight Company located in Baltimore, MD. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour, W2

Position Overview:
We are seeking a supervisor to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and analytical individual who is passionate about process improvement and operational efficiency. In this role, you will manage personnel, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in transportation or warehouse operations, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all terminal operations including shipping, receiving, dispatch, and inventory management
• Lead and manage warehouse to ensure productivity, safety, and compliance
• Maintain DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
• Monitor KPIs and implement strategies for continuous improvement
• Coordinate with corporate leadership to align operational goals
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that operations are meeting organizational goals
• Develop schedules, supervise employees, manage labor resources
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service and problem resolution
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote professional growth
• Inspect physical conditions of the warehouse, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements
• Communicate & provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
• Assist in the planning and execution of operational improvement projects, working closely with the operations VP and the E-commerce Manager
• Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, or government regulations
• Monitor inventory levels of products or materials in warehouses
• Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training or safety records
• Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak performance periods and to issue work assignments
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned

Primary Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in transportation, logistics or warehouse operations setting
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing operations in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations, warehouse safety practices, and terminal operations
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Desired Skills:

• Flexibility to travel 5%
