Operations Supervisor – Patient Access & Reimbursement

Specialty Pharmacy | Pharmaceutical HUB Services | Case Management Leadership

About the Opportunity

TalentBridge is partnering with a leading healthcare services organization specializing in patient access, specialty pharmaceutical therapies, and reimbursement support to hire an experienced Operations Supervisor.

This position will lead a team of Reimbursement Case Managers responsible for managing the full patient journey, helping patients and caregivers navigate complex insurance, reimbursement, and therapy access challenges.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands the complexities of pharmaceutical HUB services and enjoys coaching teams, resolving challenging cases, and helping patients access life-changing therapies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Case Management Team Lead ready to advance into a formal supervisory role or an established Supervisor looking to grow within specialty healthcare operations.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Directly supervise, coach, and develop a team of full-cycle Reimbursement Case Managers.

  • Oversee daily case management operations, ensuring cases progress efficiently from patient enrollment through therapy access and ongoing support.

  • Monitor individual and team performance, including productivity, case quality, turnaround times, and service levels.

  • Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.

  • Manage daily workflows, staffing, case assignments, and escalations.

  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new Case Managers.

  • Serve as a hands-on resource for complex reimbursement issues and challenging patient cases.

  • Partner with Operations Management to ensure program goals and contractual expectations are met.

Reimbursement & Patient Access Case Management

  • Oversee Case Managers handling the full reimbursement and patient access process for specialty pharmaceutical therapies.

  • Ensure appropriate coordination of benefits investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, denials, financial assistance, and therapy access support throughout the patient journey.

  • Guide Case Managers through complex payer requirements, coverage barriers, and reimbursement challenges.

  • Support communication and coordination among patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, payers, specialty pharmacies, and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor case progression to identify potential delays in therapy initiation or continuation.

  • Assist with escalated cases requiring advanced reimbursement knowledge, problem-solving, or cross-functional coordination.

  • Ensure Case Managers provide accurate, timely, and compassionate support to patients and caregivers.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, program requirements, standard operating procedures, and applicable pharmaceutical industry regulations.

Quality, Performance & Operational Excellence

  • Track key performance indicators related to case management, patient access, productivity, and quality.

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies, recurring reimbursement challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with Operations Managers, Quality, Training, and other internal departments to improve program performance.

  • Ensure accurate and thorough case documentation within patient management systems.

  • Reinforce established procedures and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high standards of service.

  • Communicate operational trends, team challenges, and escalations to management.

  • Participate in operational meetings and support implementation of program updates.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical HUB services, specialty pharmacy, patient access, or complex healthcare reimbursement.

  • 1–2+ years of Team Lead, Supervisory, or direct people leadership experience.

  • Strong understanding of full-cycle reimbursement case management, including benefits investigation, prior authorizations, appeals, denials, financial assistance, and ongoing therapy access.

  • Experience supporting complex patient cases and navigating payer coverage requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach employees, monitor performance, and manage daily team operations.

  • Experience working with patients, caregivers, providers, payers, and specialty pharmacies.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.

  • Experience working with case management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supervising full-cycle Reimbursement Case Managers within a pharmaceutical HUB environment.

  • Experience supporting specialty therapies, including cell and gene therapy.

  • Experience working with pediatric patients and caregivers.

  • Knowledge of manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs.

  • Experience with complex specialty medication access and patient assistance programs.

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, health sciences, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.

What Makes This Opportunity Exciting

This is an opportunity to take the next step in healthcare operations leadership while making a meaningful impact on patients navigating complex specialty therapies.

You'll lead an experienced case management team, work closely with healthcare operations leadership, and play an important role in helping patients overcome reimbursement barriers and access the treatment they need.

Schedule

  • Program hours of operation: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM Eastern.

  • Schedule flexibility required to support operational needs.

  • Additional employment details will be discussed during the recruiting process.
