Operations Specialist

Location: Onsite / Hybrid / Offsite Onsite 5 days a week
Working Hours / Schedule Flexible schedule within business hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Reason for opening the role(s) This engagement is intended to provide support during staffing changes and increased business volume.

Is overtime expected? Overtime is not expected to be part of the regular schedule, but occasional overtime may be required available based on business needs, workload volume, or backlog management efforts.

Possibility of Extension? While extension opportunities cannot be guaranteed, any extension considerations would be dependent upon business needs, project timelines, and ongoing workload demands.

Possibility of Conversion? There is no possibility of conversion for this role. The firm is currently developing a digital solution intended to automate the pricing exception process which will eliminate the need for this role.

About the Team The resource will collaborate with a team consisting of one Support Specialist and four Pricing Specialists.

Overview This resource will provide pricing strategy support services to the Firm Strategy organization and assist with the execution of pricing-related initiatives, pricing exception activities, process improvements, and operational support functions.

The individual will collaborate with branch teams and internal stakeholders to review, validate, and process pricing exception requests while supporting the implementation of pricing initiatives and enhancements. The resource will leverage analytical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and strong communication capabilities to support business objectives, ensure adherence to established guidelines, and deliver a high level of service to stakeholders.

This role is well-suited for a self-directed professional who can quickly learn complex processes, manage competing priorities, and exercise critical thinking when evaluating pricing exception requests and responding to branch inquiries.

Responsibilities • Review, research, and support processing of pricing exception requests submitted by branch teams.
• Validate information provided by branches to ensure requests meet established pricing guidelines and eligibility requirements.
• Collaborate with branch teams and stakeholders to obtain additional information, clarify requirements, and facilitate timely resolution of pricing-related requests.
• Support pricing-related projects, enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and operational workflows.
• Document actions, decisions, and supporting information consistent with established controls, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze data and business requirements to support pricing initiatives and operational decision-making.
• Respond to inquiries regarding pricing-related processes, requirements, and request statuses.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability of pricing-related workflows and processes.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and working sessions to support successful execution of pricing initiatives.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy due to the financial impact pricing decisions may have on clients and the firm.

Describe a “day in the life” for someone in this role A typical day may include:
• Reviewing and prioritizing pricing exception cases from Salesforce and shared team queues.
• Researching account information and validating eligibility requirements associated with family pricing structures and related pricing programs.
• Communicating with branch teams to clarify requests, answer questions, and obtain required documentation.
• Managing multiple cases simultaneously while working through a significant backlog of requests.
• Collaborating with pricing strategists and business partners to resolve complex situations.
• Documenting decisions and processing outcomes in accordance with established procedures.
• Participating in team discussions focused on process improvements and workload management.

Required Qualifications • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Salesforce experience.
• Case management or investigation experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and navigate a high-volume environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to learn complex processes and apply sound judgment when evaluating requests.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and related collaboration tools.
• Experience working with shared inboxes, workflow tools, or automated business processes.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and collaborative working style.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree.
• FINRA licenses such as SIE, Series 7 Top Off, and/or Series 66.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience supporting operations, compliance, legal, or service organizations with complex review and approval processes.
• Knowledge of pricing programs, client fee structures, or financial account administration.
• Experience leveraging Copilot or similar productivity tools to enhance communications and workflow efficiency.
