About the Group

The Open Innovation Group is responsible for driving the Open Innovation charter within Wipro by enabling ecosystem partnerships with startups, VCs, academia and industry bodies.

The group charter is to successfully discover, align and partner with the external ecosystem of startups, academia, VCs, Incubators & technology consortia to create joint solution offerings that provide a unique differentiated value to Customers.

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead a team of consultants and drive the Open Innovation charter globally for both iDeas and iCore GBLs. The role holder will be expected to grow the current partnerships, execute new partnerships and enable crafting of compelling market facing solutions and service offerings working in conjunction with the technology practices, sales & account teams and geo teams to enable the full lifecycle of curation, partnership and incubation of the partnership.

Responsibilities

Startup Scouting & Partnership Management

·        Manage a portfolio of ecosystem partnerships

·        Undertake discovery, identification and preliminary diligence of startups aligned to requirements of Wipro practice and account teams.

·        Lead the startup alliance incubation i.e., facilitating a successful alliance from the point of initial interest shown by a Wipro stakeholder in a startup to joint Go-To-Market and winning deals

·        Be the Single point of contact for the Wipro stakeholders and the identified startup

·        Proactively understand pain points and focus areas of Wipro stakeholders and identify relevant startups against them

·        Create opportunity pipeline for the partnered startup and drive their growth through joint deals, up-selling & cross-selling to internal Wipro teams

·        Create industry and technology POVs

GTM & Marketing support

·        Support GTM efforts of BU/SL in selling startup solutions

·        Design, conduct & participate in ecosystem events that would facilitate partner discovery, both internal and external and create a presence for Brand Wipro.

·        Support marketing initiatives to evangelize the open innovation function within Wipro and outside along with central marketing teams

·        Create thought leadership POVs/papers and newsletters about intersection of emerging tech and industries to create demand for startup solutions

·        Creating and nurture a network of innovation practitioners across the organization to evangelize and support BU level adoption of new programs

Qualifications

Undergraduate – BE/BTech

Postgraduate – MBA
